What is the current state of the Syracuse football program and where do you see it going under head coach, Dino Babers?

Paul A. Esden Jr. –

Hey Anthony, thanks for bringing me on first off, really appreciate it. The current state of the program is the team is on the up and up. So far this season they’re .500 at 3-3, but the new thing about this season is the team hasn’t been blown out. Every game they’ve been in and specifically their three losses were all games they could’ve, would’ve, and maybe even should’ve had.

As you know my day job I cover the team on the sports radio side of things and the temperature of the fans is a middle ground between moral cookies of being in games against quality opponents (at NC State and at LSU). Or on the other side of the coin, simply finding ways to lose. On Dino Babers, he’s definitely made his fair share of bone headed calls this season, but he’s a personable coach who seems to be leading the program in the right direction.
