The Clemson football team will host the Boston College Eagles for Homecoming Saturday. Here are the early Vegas odds for the ACC matchup.

The Clemson football team will host Boston College this Saturday for Homecoming.

The Tigers come into the matchup with a perfect 7-0 record and are looking to finish off the month of October with a victory.

As we prepare for the upcoming ACC Atlantic Division game, here’s a look at the early Vegas odds for the matchup, courtesy of the Action Network.

Early Vegas Odds vs. Boston College:

Current Spread: Clemson -34

Early Thoughts:

34 points is a sizeable spread coming into this one, but it has to do with the dominance of Clemson football these past couple of weeks and the mediocrity of Boston College.

The Eagles have an elite RB in AJ Dillon, but haven’t been able to do much of anything all season. However, Boston College is coming off an impressive 45-24 win over NC State last Saturday afternoon. The 45 points is tied for the most the Eagles have scored all season.

Though Boston College has lost a couple of games this season, the Eagles are still 4-2 and are looking to get to a bowl game. They’ll also be looking to reel off a huge upset over the Tigers, so Clemson football can certainly expect the Eagles’ best effort.

Overall, the spread for this one seems about right. I expected that it would come out a little lower (around 29 or 30), but it is easy to see why the Tigers would come out as five-touchdown favorites. After all, Clemson did just come out slow against Louisville and still beat the Cardinals by 35 points on the road.

The Tigers are the more talented team and certainly should win this one. It will be interesting to see where the money falls as we progress throughout the week. Rubbing the Rock will give you our pick against the spread later this week, as well.
