5-star Clemson football commit Xavier Thomas isn’t satisfied just being a Tiger, he wants to bring some of the best talents from around the nation with him.

5-star Clemson football commit Xavier Thomas is doing everything in his power to make Clemson’s 2018 class one of the best in school-history.

The Tigers currently have the 14th ranked class, according to 247 sports, in the nation, headlined by Thomas at No. 2 and quarterback Trevor Lawrence at No. 1.

Ever since Xavier Thomas committed Clemson football back in the spring, he has vowed to become one of the Tigers’ best recruiters.

Recently, Thomas has reached out to 5-stars DE Nolan Smith, RB Trey Sanders, and LB Owen Pappoe.

Of course, Nolan Smith has been a hard-commit to the University of Georgia for a while, but is currently at IMG Academy playing the opposite side of Thomas on the defensive line.

Also, a teammate at IMG Academy, Trey Sanders is committed to Alabama and there seems to be very little chance that Clemson football gets either one of these guys to flip commitments.

However, Thomas may be on to something with the recruitment of Owen Pappoe.

Pappoe narrowed his list down to 10 schools back in May and many believe that Clemson football is a favorite to win his services. He is currently considering Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, LSU, Nebraska, Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson, of course.

Right now, I’d predict that he lands at Florida State, but Clemson is probably second his list. Georgia also has a chance, but Clemson’s track record in the state of Georgia should bring confidence to Tiger fans across the nation.

Xavier Thomas has also reached out to 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Carman, 5-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer, and 5-star defensive end KJ Henry, among others.

It’s refreshing to see Thomas’s excitement and there’s doubting his skill. Xavier Thomas continues to impress on and off the field and I believe he could end up being one of the defensive ends we remember at Clemson football for a long time before it’s all said and done.
