Former Clemson football star and first round pick, Mike Williams ran a few routes in his new L.A. Chargers uniform and posed for photos during the recent 2017 NFL Rookie Premiere.

Williams is going to be a huge help to veteran quarterback, Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense because of his ability to stretch the field. While he may not be the fastest receiver in the NFL, Williams’ absurd catch radius and elite body control allow him to make defenses pay down the field.

L.A. hasn’t had a big bodied wide out since Vincent Jackson left town for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As such, Williams should be able to step right in and complement, Kenan Allen and Antonio Gates fairly well.

With the Chargers making the transition to L.A., Williams couldn’t have come at a better time. The market in L.A. is great for a football team, most importantly, a winning football team. Williams will fill seats and sell tickets right away with his exciting style of play.

During the same photo shoot, Williams also posed for his first official NFL trading card.

The Clemson football program will certainly miss Williams’ big play ability in 2017, however, with the talent that Clemson brings back on the perimeter, #WRU lives on.
