No. 6 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are one of the toughest teams to predict in the ACC, thanks largely to their unorthodox triple-option offense. QB Vad Lee decided to transfer this year, leaving the keys to Paul Johnson’s offense in Justin Thomas’ hands. And the strange thing is, they might actually be better off now.

The trouble for Georgia Tech is going to come on defense, where their defensive line has been decimated this off-season. First Jeremy Attaochu graduated and was selected in the NFL draft. Then the Yellow Jackets lost Justin Akins, Kevin Robbins Jr., Anthony Williams and Jabari Hunt-Days for various reasons. It’s hard to fathom how they are going to keep up playing in a division with talented rushers like Duke Johnson, Isaac Bennett, James Connor, and Marquis Williams without a defensive line. With that in mind, the Yellow Jackets could have easily landed in last place in this ACC Power Ranking, but Georgia Tech has a tendency to surprise.
