Ray Ray McCloud to Announce Commitment Tonight - Clemson Tigers Links

Florida running back Ray Ray McCloud is set to announce his commitment tonight, but Phil Kornblut at Palmetto State writes that he is likely to pick Florida over Clemson.

WR Ray Ray McCloud of Tampa will announce his choice on local cable in Tampa with his decision down to Clemson, Florida, Maryland and UCLA. He visited Clemson twice last year and this spring. He’s also been to Florida multiple times including Friday night.

FanSided 150 also expect McCloud to commit to the Gators tonight. But they also suggest that McCloud hasn’t done much to suggest a favorite, so Clemson could still be in contention.

Unfortunately, clear clues and distinct hints are not something that McCloud has offered much of throughout his recruitment. At this point, the revelation of his final four choices is the most tantalizing taste he’s given fans.

The State has updates on the Clemson Tigers now in the NFL, including Martavis Bryant.

Many believe Pittsburgh landed the steal of the draft in the fourth round. Bryant’s long body, sprinter’s speed and high jumper’s elevation remind many of former All Pro Randy Moss.

TigerNet spoke with one of the top quarterbacks in the 2016 recruiting class, Jarrett Guarantano.

“Clemson was one of my first offers, and it was great getting an offer from a program like that,” Guarantano said. “I like what they do with their offense – it is very similar to what we run. I feel like I have a good relationship with the Clemson coaches. Coach Morris is a great coach who gets the most out his quarterbacks, and they get a lot of really good receivers to go there.”
