Good afternoon, Clemson fans. Here are the Clemson Tigers links for July 25th, 2014.
Space is running out in Clemson football’s 2015 recruiting class. Greenville Online has identified who the Tigers might want to take with the last few spots.
Favored targets include five-star prospect Tim Settle and fellow defensive linemen Albert Huggins and Ricky DeBerry, four-star prospects, as well as offensive linemen Zack Bailey and Matt Burrell Jr., and running back/receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, who’s expected to reveal a choice of Florida or Clemson on Monday.
Orange and White has a story full of quotes from Dabo Swinney about where Deshaun Watson is in his development.
“I think Deshaun is way ahead of where Tajh was as a true freshman. It’s not even close because of the background and doing what we do. As far as how that translates to the season? I don’t know.”
Shakin’ the Southland recalls a huge win over Miami in 2004.
Since we suffered through the memory of the 2004 loss at Duke, it must be followed by discussing the incredible win at Miami in 2004. This one holds a special place in the memories of many Tiger fans, mostly because the vast majority of us felt we had about a 10% shot at winning the game going into it.
Bleacher Report lists four Clemson football players who could surprise during training camp, including WR Germone Hopper.
Hopper was sent home this spring to focus on his academics. If he takes care of that, he will be squarely in the mix at receiver this season. He is lightning-fast and a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He will also be in the mix as a punt returner.
