The Maryland Terrapins will travel into Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to face the Clemson Tigers for the final time as an ACC opponent. The Tigers will be looking to bounce back from the road loss they suffered at Wake Forest last Tuesday night and the Terrapins will be looking to come back from a very close loss to the Syracuse Orange. The Terrapins come into the game with a record of 15-13 (7-8) and are currently averaging 71.2 points per game. That will be put to the test today against a Clemson defense that is only allowing 56.2 points per game.
K.J. McDaniels will be hoping for a big game today as he is coming off one of his worst performances of the season where he looked uncomfortable and lacking in confidence. Being home in the Littlejohn should help him. Another thing to watch for is if Damarcus Harrison can continue his hot streak of late. Harrison has been scoring a lot more lately for the Tigers and they will need him to get a victory today. A player to watch for on the Maryland side is Dez Wells. Wells is leading the Terrapins in scoring on the season and poured in 15 points last time out against Syracuse.
While Clemson hurt their NCAA chances with the loss at Wake Forest there is still a little hope if they were to win out the rest of the regular season and perform well in the ACC Tournament. That will all start today against the Terrapins and the Tigers really need to get the win. The Tigers have their final three games at home and getting the win today would be a great start to the closing stretch and really have the Tigers feeling good going into postseason play.
