Sammy Watkins To Participate Fully At Combine

Sammy Watkins is reportedly going to participate in every drill at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. It’s always exciting when an explosive athlete like Watkins gets on the field and shows off his talent. But the fact that Watkins is yet another Clemson Tiger offensive talent going in the first round makes this even better. We’ve all seen the kind of speed, quickness, agility, and leaping ability Watkins possesses, and now NFL scouts and general managers are going to be able to see first hand what Tiger fans have known for three years: Watkins is ELECTRIC.

Forget the 40 yard dash for a minute, I can not wait to see what kind of vertical leap Sammy puts up in Indy. Does that catch in the Orange Bowl Elicit any memories?

The Jugs machine? Watkins has silky smooth hands. Probably the best mits in this draft. Just another drill that I fully expect Watkins to dominate.

And then of course, there is the 40. Everyone is going to be talking about it. Everyone already IS talking about it. Watkins has been tweeting in recent weeks about his practice 40 times; not giving out any official times, but making sure that everyone knows that he expects to run a blistering fast dash. Anything outside of the 4.3 range will be disappointing.

Sammy will join C.J. Spiller and DeAndre Hopkins as recent Tigers skill players to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. Watkins, a consensus top 10 pick, could go as high as second overall.
