2015 Florida QB recruit Tucker Israel has committed to Clemson, according to TigerIllustrated.com. Israel, a 3 star recruit in the class of 2015 spurned an offer from the in state Florida Gators to come to Clemson. Israel, a three year starter at Lake Nona in Orlando, FL threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 40 TDs in his junior season. Israel’s commitment came earlier than expected, as he decided to forego Florida’s junior day and commit to the Tigers. Offensive coordinator Chad Morris thinks Israel can make all the throws in his offense, and what the QB lacks in size (Israel stands just 6-0, 190 lbs.), Morris says Israel makes up for “in every other category”.

With the recent success of smaller quarterbacks in the NFL, i.e. Drew Brees and Russell Wilson, Israel is a good get for the Tigers for the 2015 recruiting class.
