The Clemson Tigers (4-0, 2-0) are off to one of their best starts in school history as they travel to face the Syracuse Orange (2-2, 0-0) Saturday which means one thing for Head Coach Dabo Swinney…
Everyone and their brother already has October 19 circled as the Tigers welcome the Florida State Seminoles to Death Valley in what could be a BCS National Title elimination playoff game. But Swinney knows Clemson cannot look past the Orange in the Carrier Dome this weekend nor the Boston College Eagles back at home on October 12.
Here is Coach Swinney and all things Clemson at Syracuse from Monday’s Press Conference.
Any team that gets an extra week to prepare for an opponent is one that should be taken seriously. Swinney knows that Tajh Boyd and his offensive line will have to play on the same level it has, if not better, to keep the Tigers undefeated in College Football and the ACC.
The telltale quote from Swinney and a special insight into the focus of this team in 2013 is the fact he loved chaotic road games. And in the way only Swinney can spin it you have to love the reference to an “old lady giving him the finger” and how he “loved the hostility of it” (games on the road).
Old crazy women or not, it seems Swinney has his Tigers ready to go Saturday.
At least he better because the ACC needs this train to keep rolling until the Seminoles come calling in a few weeks.
